
Jamie started in the industry in 2001 working at a mutual fund company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in various investment research, marketing and finance roles. In 2005 Jamie and his wife Cassie moved to Dubuque, Iowa to be closer to family and for Jamie to join an investment advisory practice.
McDonald has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Loras College. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and received his Master of Science degree in Family Financial Planning from Kansas State University.
Other experience includes teaching as a part-time adjunct Professor of Finance at Loras College, serving as a Director on the Board of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Eastern Iowa, as well as a Director on the Board of the Loras Investment Fund for the Endowment (LIFE Portfolio) at Loras College. Jamie is also a recurring Precana finance lecturer for the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
Jamie and his wife Cassie live in Dubuque, Iowa with their three sons Seamus, Liam and Finnegan. When they are not busy with children’s activities, they enjoy home improvement projects and traveling.
